So I am sitting on the toilet in a public restroom and someone walks in looks in the mirror for about five seconds and leaves. As this person is half way out the door they shut the lights off.

Why would anyone do this? This bathroom is not in the boonies. It is in the campus center of my college. It is being used almost constantly. I can understand this person not realizing I am in the bathroom, but shutting off the lights is ridiculous. I love to save electricity as much as the next person, but I also like to aim when going to the bathroom and I don’t have a lot of practice in the dark! Plus the electricity wasted by turning the lights off and on in this regularly used bathroom far outweighs the tiny bit of electricity saved.

So I am left sitting in the pitch black bathroom twiddling my thumbs wondering if I should make a quick dash for th lights. Thankfully for me, another person came in the bathroom within a minute or two and turned on the lights. I can only imagine what they were thinking when they saw me sitting on the toilet in the dark.
