National Honor Society Webpage

December 29th, 2003

At my school, participants in National Honor Society must get five service credits by the end of the year in order to stay in National Honor Society. Previously, these credits had been kept track of by hand in excel. I have taken it upon myself with the approval of the Honor Society to automate the process using PHP and MySQL. Unfortunately I am not yet able to publish the website to the public, but when I get this permission I will post the link here.

The website allows for the Honor Society Officers to create activities, contact members, and manage credits. Members of Honor Society can check at any time and see how many credits they have, where they got these credits, and even sign up for new activities.

I’m fairly proud of this website and I don’t think the people in National Honor Society realize how much work it takes to create a system like this. I get a measly two credits.
